Rum punch

1 part == 1/2 jigger (or to taste)

A) Combine

  • 1 part lime juice
  • 2 parts water
  • 1 part dark brown sugar


B) Add and stir

  • 3 parts excellent rum (Caribbean or Central American amber or dark)
  • 4 parts water


C) Garnish

  • Grate fresh nutmeg to taste (⅛ to ½ teaspoon)
  • Add three ice cubes and serve in tulip glasses


Canadian Maple Rum Punch

makes: 2 1/2 cups

1 part lime juice: 1/4 cup
2 parts maple syrup: 1/2 cup
3 parts rum: 3/4 cup
4 parts water: 1 cup

Fresh nutmeg to taste
